Got to the room where you can see the clock tower from the window and the fireplace. Found the switch inside the fireplace that brings me to a room with a clock and a trapdoor (really hard to open by the way). Managed to open the trapdoor using a key in the same room, but the only thing of note were 4 red slash marks on the side, nothing else in the pit. I have no idea what the clored buttons do. They all have a different picture, but pressing them has no obvious effect and trying different ones inside...
